Chart legend

Note that the legend configuration applies to all charts within a project.

Multi-metric legend

In dashboards and reports, you can configure a chart widget to display multiple metrics at once. In such charts, each metric is represented by a differently styled line that you can verify in the chart legend. For better visibility, the legend also separates the metrics and groups the runs.

In reports, you can also customize the way chart widgets display metadata. For details, see Change display options.

Analyzing data points

When you hover over a chart, the X-axis marker tries to match a data point closest to your cursor's position. The chart legend uses the following symbols to indicate how the match was made:

SymbolDescription
noneExact match. This value was logged for the X-axis point that you hover over.
Approximate value, interpolated based on the values of the surrounding points that have been logged.
The tilde symbol also appears next to a value that represents an aggregation of points caused by the rendering algorithm, even if it's also an exact match.
